The President’s Multicultural Student Advisory Committee is an advisory group to the President and University administrators, professionals, and academic faculty that addresses broad issues of multiculturalism and social identity that impact the university campus and surrounding community. The committee’s primary functions are to engage in conversations with university faculty and administrators, share students’ perspectives, and provide recommendations that will develop and sustain a campus climate of inclusiveness and help CSU better serve its increasingly diverse population.
Students get to work with other SDPS office students, as well as students from multiple departments, and CSU faculty and staff.
Time commitment: Meetings are every other Thursday from 5:30-7:00, with occasional meetings with El Centro pro staff.

El Centro is looking for students interested in serving as a President’s Multicultural Student Advisory Committee representative for El Centro. This position is a volunteer opportunity and a great fit for students with a passion for inclusiveness on campus. Representatives will engage in conversation, share students’ perspectives, and provide recommendations to faculty and staff that better serve our diverse population.
