Legacies & Futures is a community-centered experience inviting CSU students to explore how social change happens across multiple pathways—through food and culture, interactive art, and public service. Rooted in Mexican and Filipino traditions, foodways, and labor history, the event invites everyone to a shared meal, collaborative art, and opportunities for connection with invited community leaders working across nonprofit, cultural, and public service fields. Through an integrated, drop-in format, students will engage with food as history, art as movement-building, and conversation as a tool for solidarity. Invited leaders range from civil servants, artists, and community organizers. Together, these engagements will help students better understand the many ways individuals contribute to change, advocacy, and community impact while honoring legacies of solidarity that continue to shape our collective futures.
